What is a Tooth Extraction?
During a tooth extraction, a tooth is removed from its socket in the bone in your mouth. Our dental team in Kitchener only perform tooth extractions when a less invasive option would be ineffective, or if keeping the tooth will compromise your oral health.
Teeth are most commonly extracted as a result of damage from gum disease, decay or injury. Occasionally, teeth are pulled for other reasons, such as crowding or to prepare for another dental procedure.
